HEART

This week and the month of February we will be talking about friendship, family and people in our neighborhood.  We will learn some silly songs, rhymes and poems about love.  At the art table children will be using glue and paper to make cards for family and friends. As they create their cards they will be:

           *developing fine motor skills

           *learning about shapes and colors

           *talking about letters and names.

We will be sending the Valentines cards they make and talking about people that work and live in the neighborhood. When you are in the car or on a walk you can talk about the people who work in the stores they visit, the library or the neighbors next door.  This is a way to have your child connect to the community they live in – their family, their neighbors and the people who work in their neighborhood.

Skidamarink

Skidamarink a dink a dink, Skidamarink a doo,

I love you.
Skidamarink a dink a dink,  Skidamarink a doo,

I love you.
I love you in the morning. And in the afternoon,  I love you in the evening. And underneath the moon;

Oh, Skidamarink a dink a dink. Skidamarink a doo,

I love you! .

Love Somebody, Yes I Do
Love somebody, yes I do
Love somebody, yes I do
Love somebody, yes I do,
Love somebody, and I’ll tell you who.

(Love my Daddy, …my Mommy, … My Grandma, …)
